2017. ././ . Its been a seriously long year, its been a seriously tough year and I’m only just reaching the end of the the beginning…
There has been a massive shift and change of course in my art work. The past four years have seen a long and slow decrease in the out put of Original Artworks and a sharp increase in the output of Drawings and Tattoo designs. it has been a conscious effort to pursue a career that allows me to create everyday, change peoples lives and develop as an Artist. I am on the cusp of achieving this goal and becoming a licensed Tattoo Artist, But that’s not the end of the journey it is in fact only the beginning of a new field to explore.
While Painting will always remain a true love of mine, Drawing, Design and Tattooing will be at the forefront of my output now, which has over the past few years given me completely new ideas to explore, New challenges to overcome and new skills to master.. ././. A recent commission for a good bunch of guys, The guys in question are a local Punk band called Primeval Soup, who as well as preaching against wrong doings in the world and standing up for what they believe in they actually fight it.. ./. Raising money for charity, hunt sabotaging and boycotting . ../. This art work is designed to couple with a track focusing on animal rights, and whilst i am a vegetarian myself i’ve never had the guts to take it as far as these guys.. ./ . More to come. /.

For the show fragments i put together a series of prints././ The ideas follow on from my “Virus” series where i became obsessed by pixelated images. I followed on with the same concept of fusing pixels with organic objects, this time using animals as my ‘host’. These images were created using computer manipulated ink drawings./ ./.

A while back now i was contacted by a guy who saw my show ‘Everything Changes’ we got talking about art and music and the blending of the two. /./. His name was Giovanni and i later found out that both he and his band we based in Italy. /. After mutually falling in love with each others craft I ended up doing the artwork for their newest release/. / .FLIM – Time In A Fish Bowl.
Now this week they will be releasing a track for free off the upcoming album, Due date Feb2014./.
Now i urge you to go and give these guys a listen, not just because i’ve done the artwork but because they really are awesome./ ./.

Blogging wise it has been rather quite here in the build up to xmas, that’s because all of the paintings i was working on were in fact gifts and so obviously i couldn’t publish them. So here is a backlog of paintings. / /./.
The first wave was a fresh new batch of xmas pigeons, this time with a festive slant i have become only slightly obsessed by snow flakes. ./
The second wave of paintings was a set of portraits../. not something you’d associate with me.. and furthermore they were both painted on canvas./. another thing you would not associate with me. It s always a good thing to take my self out of my usual sphere of working, both of the canvases were still reclaimed and recycled and i feel like despite working from photographs i managed to inject plenty of Belbin hallmarks to the pieces.
