A new piece ready for ‘Pecking At The Sidelines’ .. /.
This was painted on a reclaimed printed cityscape.. / .I have no idea why people buy big photos of dirty city’s to cover there homes with, when i get home i want to escape the cityscape i live in./ .
It has been a seriously long time since i’ve had the resources to post./. what with moving house, being between internet and smashing my camera, all cheap excuses but all variables in why i haven’t posted, But now finally back, with a lot of stuff to show you.. /. I have been working on a secret series (which pieces will be revealed in time) i have been in two group shows, i have been live painting and i have been dropping free art in Brighton. . /. Where to start?
Lets start small, simple and beautiful../. As part of The ‘Terra Nova’ show organized by the lovely girls at Saints Lot, i painted three geisha girls on reclaimed electricity fuse box doors. The whole show was based around the idea of reusing and recycling which suits me fine. The Show was held at Yum Yum Ninja, Brighton hence the theme of my pieces. There are plenty of photos to come from the live painting i also did at the show ../. but that can wait for another post..
It feels good to be back and i hope that with this post i can wet your appetites and claw back the consistency and following i once had./../ No more dead air space.. . //.//.
(2013-08-08) Spectrum Of Sadness, Red Girl, Yellow Girl, Blue Girl
If you are interested in these pieces they are still on display at Yum Yum Ninja as they were so loved.. ./ ./././
Regulars to my blog would have noted that last Upfest i also painted at the notorious Rock & Bowl hostel, Every Upfest they open up their doors and invite artists from around the world to leave their mark at the hostel. Last year i was honored to be offered a space of my own and leapt on the opportunity https://jakobbelbin.wordpress.com/2012/06/06/rock-n-bowl/ Though this year i was not staying at the hostel, their winsome manager “Matty B” extended the same offer to me once more. This time round i was a year older and had a partner in crime so i went for something completely different and chose a completely different space under the recommendation of Matty B. Its the only dark wall in the hostel and is the entrance to the smoking area. . / ./. These devastating beauty’s are 8 feet tall and were painted in about 2-3hours . /.// // …./ .

This exhibition has literally grown and grown from its first conception encompassing fine art, sculpture, performance and interactive free art drops and is set to be a fantastic show… /. So get excited and come along on the 16th of April to ‘Just Because Things Break, Doesn’t Mean They’re Broken’
