This series started with a fascination of pixelated videos and photos.The idea behind the ‘Virus’ series it takes the effects a virus can have on a computer or program and translates that into human form, like the body has a glitch or error.

After lovingly caring and restoring this cabinet i found for days.. /. /. I went and ruined/improved it by taking a hammer and a knife to it.. / ./ . Can’t wait for this piece to be finished.. /. /.

While walking the streets of Brighton i stumbled once again on a little gem just being thrown out.. . ///.
After spending 4 days lovingly restoring this little cabinet… . . /. One coat of primer, one coat of cream, one coat of white, three coats of black and one coat of varnish im about to ruin all of that and trash this cabinet with a hammer and set of cooking knives.. /./. Watch this space for the progress . .///.

Finding good wood in Brighton has been much more of a problem than i ever expected, because the wood has been so sparse i had a week or so where i couldn’t find anything. Now i have quite a backlog of paintings to my name now and there’s always those few that slip through that you know you were never quite happy with, i decided that without any new surfaces it would be worth my time going back and rectifying those mistakes.. .. /. I have done quite a few now but here is the first installment of paintings revised.

I have been so busy recently concentrating on work that i actually might be able to sell that it has been quite a considerable amount of time since i last took on another ridiculous self indulgent project. Well today i set about rectifying that by starting what is (since the last time) set to be my most ambitious painting to date. This Valentines just gone i painted at a fund raiser for flood victims of the Philippines along side three other incredible artists, the resulting pieces were auctioned off to send aid.. . . … . .
Tropical Storm Washi devastated the Philippines on December 16 and 17, 2011. The storm was not powerful in the traditional sense—it’s winds never surpassed 55 knots (100 kilometers per hour or 63 miles per hour) and it lacked the organization of an intense typhoon or hurricane. Nonetheless, Washi unleashed extremely heavy rain on northwest Mindanao and the resulting floods left hundreds dead or missing. Tropical storm Washi brought heavy rains, overflowing rivers and flash floods to the southern Philippines from December 16 to 18, sweeping away whole villages built on sandbars and riverbanks.
More than 376,000 people were displaced by the storm and almost 55,000 are still huddled in crowded makeshift evacuation centres.

In The Wake Of The Recent Devastation.. . .. . . . …. .. .
The level of devastation we have all only witnessed via bloodthirsty news networks and hungry tabloids has almost been too much to comprehend. Blow after blow after shocking blow the situation kept on escalating and growing worse, this is without doubt one of the worse disasters of the 21st century and you would be inhuman not to be affected by it. It is because of these reasons i hope to auction this painting of to the highest bidder and donate all proceeds to funding aid in Japan.
