Change.. . . /.///.

The change of season is finally starting to have noticeable effect./. the sun is out and the grass seems greener and it reminds me of a painting i revised a few months ago which you’ve not seen yet….. .. // I went through a bit of a phase of chopping up all those awful paintings i did and making them into something much more interesting so with the change of season in mind and the change of old paintings here is ‘Fall’ revised …. .  . /.

(2012-10-10) Fall

‘Fall’ revised   Acrylic on Hardboard

Because The World Is Cruel Sometimes.. .. . .//.

So yesterday filming went extremely well…/ .Got all the shots necessary and even had time for a little urban exploring.. / Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the photos of new paintings promised, I’d say that 50% of them are usable so whilst I’m working my way through the pile i am going to be very cruel and post these three paintings which are all revisits to old paintings..//. I never really liked the paintings in the first place so i chopped them up re painted them and put them back together again…… . . . . ./. I have posted pictures of these three pieces over the past month or so but these photos are much better quality../.

But don’t worry your selves i will also do another post this evening of a completely new piece… . One i am very proud of… . /. /.

Double Take.. . . /./.

Finding good wood in Brighton has been much more of a problem than i ever expected, because the wood has been so sparse i had a week or so where i couldn’t find anything. Now i have quite a backlog of paintings to my name now and there’s always those few that slip through that you know you were never quite happy with, i decided that without any new surfaces it would be worth my time going back and rectifying those mistakes.. .. /. I have done quite a few now but here is the first installment of paintings revised.

Originally painted 13-04-2011 ‘Introspectator’

Now believe it or not these are the same paintings.. . .///. ./

I have yet to decide on the title. .. . /./ .

Calm Down Spielberg.. …. . /. .//. / .

Recent posts might suggest that im running out of ideas… ../. / I have been attacking old paintings and improving them, now normally i would stand by the premise of ‘once a piece of art is finished it should never be revisited’ but there has been quite few paintings now that have been keeping me up at night. I knew when i ‘finished’ them i was not happy with them the truth is i was either bored of looking at them or utterly clueless as to what to do with them. This week that has changed, I have had breakthrough’s on paintings i never wanted to see the light of day and i put it down to my work schedule. I normally have a million different ideas, series’, paintings, drawings and plans all going on at the same time and normally i end up evolving before i’ve really finished exploring these ideas. This week i wrote a list of all the things i have going on and unfinished  and am not allowed to start anything new until this list is complete. So even though the ideas are piling up still, Its better than half finished projects piling up! Thats not to say that this blog will be short of new things to show you.. . …. . …/./. Here is the latest re hash of an old painting i did… …. . .its now good enough to be used as origanlly intended, Art work for the band Caolin Clay.. . ….. .. ./. ////. .
