When Things Go Wrong.. ./ .

The art works that i sent up to Upfest Gallery in Bristol have arrived…/. though they wont be for sale anymore as they arrived damaged.. ./.As much as i love battle scars on my work and damage incurred during the process of creating, these were finished pieces and i had reached a point where they did not need changing, though i do like the damage personally i cannot consciously sell them  in a state that i didn’t intend.

So i had to do something quickly so i could get some pieces up in time.././. with limited funds and resources i set about making two paintings using printer ink…/. I’d never using this medium before… /. And personally i think they are beautiful.. //.

Last year i made a bunch of paintings based on our mainstream newspapers..  ./. It was my original intention to exhibit them as part of a full show… /But due to economic restraints  have decided to exhibit them on the streets. ../. Look out fringe festival. . /./ No White Wallss./. /.///.

These four baby’s are now on their way to Bristol in preparation for this years UPFEST .. .. .. All four will be part of the exhibition which includes some seriously big names in street art, and all four will be for sale for the reasonable price of £100 each.. . /./

Just Beacause Biscuits Break, Doesn’t Mean They Don’t Taste Like Success.. .. /.

What can i really say…/. Apart from thank you to EVERYONE…././. Everyone who came last night, everyone involved in the show and everyone around those involved.././ This show was both mine and Karol Michalecs first show in Brighton and because of you all it was a raging success…. /. The building was full all evening and a buzzing hub of activity …/. Never before has someone elses work complemented mine so well./. Its been incredible to work with such like minded people. This show encompassed all of my favorite elements of fine art… Painting, Graphics, Sculpture, Drawing, Collage, Performance and Free Art.

This show wouldn’t have been possible without Karol Michalec, Hazel Stephenson, Gill at The Painting Pottery Cafe, Alexander Glass, Harry (i dont know your full name light man), Lee Belbin and of course the love of my life Catherine Chatwin.. .  . /.///.

This is the start of a beautiful friendship and you can all expect to see the Belbin and Michalec name joined in the future… . ./.

For the run up of ‘Just Because Things Break, Doesn’t Mean They’re Broken’ as well as the free art drops, yesterday Myself, Karol Michalec and my beautiful girlfriend went flyer’ing around Brighton../ with a slightly more dramatic twist en-keeping with the exhibitions theme, we all dressed as post nuclear war geisha. .. //.  This exhibition has literally grown and grown from its first conception encompassing fine art, sculpture, performance and interactive free art drops and is set to be a fantastic show… /. So get excited and come along on the 16th of April to ‘Just Because Things Break, Doesn’t Mean They’re Broken’
